Description

Stuart Farrell was commissioned by Gairloch Estate in September 2003 to undertake an archaeological watching brief at Flowerdale Glen, Gairloch as part of a project for a new path. Highland Council Archaeology Unit produced a specification for this work. Work revealed the partial remains of a stone building of a 19th century date but no earlier archaeological features or deposits. No recommendations for further fieldwork have currently been proposed.
