Description
Archaeological monitoring was undertaken by CFA Archaeology during the construction phase of the wind farm development at Farr, Inverness. The work consisted of periodic monitroing visits carried out between June 2005 and February 2006. The monitoring work was intended to ensure that sites identified by the archaeological assessment in 2002 (J Hooper - MHG4328) were avoided and preserved in situ, and to establish the vulnerability of any new sites or features encountered and to propose new mitigation measures where appropriate. No archaeological sites, features or deposits were discovered during the monitoring works. <1>
