Description

Within the area of the designated scheduled monument, Upper Bogrow Settlement and Field System, Edderton, accidental damage had occurred to archaeological deposits. This was as a result of the cutting of a roadway by Highland Region Water and Sewerage Department. The Scottish Urban Archaeological Trust Ltd was commissioned to examine and record the upstanding sections of the machine cut roadway and to reinstate the damaged area to its pre-disturbance profile. In addition, the boundary of the scheduled monument was to be surveyed and demarcated on the ground. <1>
