Description

A ground penetrating radar survey was carried out across an area of North Ballachulish Moss. The principal aim of the GPR survey was to map the underlying topography of the moss. The survey represents the first stage in a more extensive programme of work (see EHG156). In mapping the underlying topography, the nature and dates of the peat across the area can be assessed, the prior vegetation cover determined, and the nature of the soils and land use assessed. <1>
