Description

A walkover survey was carried out by Martin Wildgoose in 1991 over an area of proposed afforestation lying to the north of Vidigil Burn, Bracadsale, Skye. Twenty-three new sites were recorded, of which twenty-two lay on the steeply rising margins, of these fifteen were within 25m of a burn. It was noted that the plateau was overlain by peat depth of between 2-4m and this was liley to conceal the prehistoric features while at the same time inhibit later development. <1>
