Description
It was a condition of planning consent for the redevelopment of this site that an archaeological watching brief was carried out. Jonathon Wordsworth was appointed to carry out this work and to pay particular attention to recording medieval deposits and a possible sand layer recorded from excavations in Castle Street as dating to a tsunami c5,000 BC. <1>
