Description
A watching brief was carried out by Cannich Archaeological Services in 1998-1999 as part of the planning application for a new house at Torbreck Farm. The areas cleared and observed included an access road from the road to the north and the area of a proposed garage and the house plot itself. The areas propsed for construction were entirely sat on natural gravel with no sign of human interference. A single feature was seen on the access road which proved to be a large pit which was completely excavated. In addition several sections were cut across a palaeochannel identified from APs. <1>
