Description
In response to a planning condition (plan ref CA-07-604) an archaeological watching brief was carried out in April 2008 by Paul Humphreys for Highland Archaeology Services Ltd at Mybster Croft, Caithness. No significant archaeological features or finds were recorded and there are no recommendations for further work. The proposed development also involved the demolition of a ruinous croft house on the site. Planning consent required a photographic record be made of the croft house and setting prior to the beginning of site works <1>.
