Description

A geophysical survey was carried out by the University of Nottingham on the site of a supposed early Christian monatery at Chapel Hill, Ballachly near Dunbeath in 2007. This went over some of the same area as previous surveys (see EHG2884 & EHG2926), where there was some ambiguity, using both resistivity and gradiometry. Limited trial trenching was subsequently carried out to test the survey results (see EHG2975). <1> No report currently available. GIS position is an approximation.
