Description

A watching brief was carried out by S Farrell in 2009 during the removal of topsoil and subsoil in advance of house construction near Croftcroy, Farr. The excavation of the access road was also monitored. A total area of c 352m² was stripped of topsoil and subsoil on average 20cm in depth across the site for the proposed house plot and septic tank to an area roughly 11m north-south by 32m east-west. A possible C19 clearance heap was identified but no earlier features were noted. <1>
