Description

Three trial trenches were excavated by machine prior to the required watching brief on the development as a whole (see EHG2990). A single linear feature was noted which may be an enclosure ditch or pre-crofting field boundary. The subsequent watching brief recorded no further information relating to this feature. Particular attention was paid to the area east of the feature which would form the access to the house. This was the only part of the development area potentially enclosed by the ditch, however no further features were noted. <1>
