Description

A watching brief was conducted during ground-disturbing works for the construction of two houses. No archaeological features or finds were encountered during the works. This was surprising given the presence of a dun on the outcrop immediately above the development site. The walkover survey which took place immediately prior to the watching brief identified a small turf and stone enclosure about 5 metres outside the site boundary. <1>
