Description
An archaeological watching brief took place during ground-breaking works for a new house. Topsoil stripping subsequently revealed a deposit of midden material in the western half of the site, consisting of large quantities of limpet and winkle shells. In addiition, three test pits were excavated, the most northerly of which revealed the midden deposit lying beneath a deposit of windblown sand. Two environmental samples were removed for further analysis. <1>
