Description

Stuart Farrell was commissioned by CKD Galbraith on behalf of the Kyle of Sutherland Fisheries Trust in December 2008 to undertake an archaeological desktop and walkover survey for a block of proposed woodland at Amat, Strathcarron, Highland. Work revealed a number of previously unrecorded archaeological sites including a sheepfold, cairns, a field system and a shieling. A number of recommendations have been made for these sites to be excluded from the proposed forestry scheme. <1>
