Description

An analytical survey was undertaken of the standing fabric of Old Leanach Cottage, a Category B listed structure on the Culloden Battlefield, for the National Trust for Scotland. The survey was undertaken to generate a definitive as-existing record and analytical account of the building in advance of conservation work and to provide an informed basis upon which the conservation process itself should proceed. The survey consisted of prior documentary research followed by on-site recording, both written and drawn. <1>
