Description
A desk-based assessment and walkover survey were conducted to assess the potential impact of a proposed hydro-electric scheme. A small number of archaeological sites were identified, of which the main sites affected would be an early modern settlement and a shieling site. No features were identified dating to the sheep farming period, nor having an association with the events of 1792 and the conflict between the Strathrusdale tenants and the Cameron brothers. <1>
