Description
The first phase of an archaeological evaluation was carried out by Glasgow University Archaeological Research Division (GUARD), on behalf of Scottish and Southern Energy on a strip of land proposed for development on the southern edge of Beauly Substation, near Wester Balblair, Highland. The trial trench evaluation investigated 10% of the total (available) area proposed for development (c. 5000 m²). No significant archaeological features were encountered during the evaluation and consequently no further mitigation work is proposed. <1>
