Description

A rapid survey took place to inform an application to the Scottish Rural Development Programme (SRDP). The survey identified remains relating to agricultural occupation from the late 18th century. The remains of a small L-shaped building can be found at NH 8470 4686. There are stone footings of two abandoned farmsteads at NH 8478 4726 and 8538 4790, and a possible site close to the culvert bridge at NH 8460 4670. Extensive parts of a turf on stone boundary wall remain around fields and woodland presently under grass and grazed by cattle and sheep. <1>
