Description
A desk-based assessment and walkover survey was conducted in connection with a proposed hydro-electric scheme. A total of 86 sites were identified, most of which were previously unrecorded. The sites comprise settlement remains, shoreline features and sites connected with fishing, sheep farming and estate features. These date from the early Modern period for the most part, although some of the features may prove upon investigation to be of an earlier date. <1>
