Description
A desk-based assessement was carried out by AOC Archaeology Group in 2012 for the area around two proposed borrow pits for the Burn of Whilk windfarm development in Caithness. In addition a walkover survey of the area of Borrow Pit 1 was also carried out. The location of Borrow Pit 2 was in forestry and had previously been subject to quarrying activity. Evidence for a post-medieval to early modern crofting landscape was found at the location of Borrow Pit 1. <1>
