Description

A watching brief was carried out by Kirkdale Archaeology in July 1996 during the installation of a new water main at Fort George. Work included recording the remains of the demolished wall to the east portal of the Place of Arms on the south side of the fort. No finds were made. <1> No report or plan to show the route of the water main available. Location is approximate to area of the Place of Arms.
