Description
Ross and Cromarty Archaeological Services conducted a controlled strip archaeological watching brief in April 2013 during site clearance for a new house on a site located 30m southeast of Kilmichael House in Drumnadrochit. The watching brief was a requirement of the Highland Council Planning Department prior to development, due to the possible location of a graveyard within the site. Four features were identified and recorded, one of which was an area of visible cultivation marks underlying the ploughsoil and two of which may have been pits resulting from cleared vegetation roots. No further work was recommended. <1>
