Description
A walk-over survey was carried out at Tighchuig, Strathglass, by Highland Archaeology Ltd in late 2010 ahead of the proposed construction of a log cabin development and associated hydro-electric scheme. Coverage was as systematic as possible and included the log cabin development area and a 50m corridor for the proposed hydro-electric scheme, as revised. Apart from a previously recorded round house site, the archaeological features noted were post-medieval in date mainly consisting of field clearance heaps but including some building footings. <1>
