Description

A DBA and walkover survey was carried out by Scotia Archaeology in 2012 along the routes of three proposed new hydro-electric schemes on the Garrogie Estate near Fort Augustus. The area covered by the three projects comprised mostly heather-covered moors cut by narrow, steep-sided valleys. None of the monuments identified in the DBA would be affected by the new hydro-electric schemes. However, the walkover survey identified two new sites. <1> <2>
