Description

An archaeological watching brief was carried out by Highland Archaeology Services in September 2012 as part of a project to re-house and re-display the Nigg Cross-Slab at Nigg Old Church. The existing concrete floor, in the room where the slab is to be displayed, was removed to be replaced with stone pavings to create an improved space for visitors to view the slab. No archaeology was uncovered except from two sandstone slabs which are to remain within the new scheme. <1>
