Description

An desk-based assessment and walkover survey was undertaken in 2012 by J G Robertson on behalf of Adelphi Distillery prior to the proposed construction of a distillery at Glenbeg, Ardnamurchan. The proposed construction was to consist of a distillery with associated maltings, warehousing and visitor centre. A buried pipeline would bring a water supply from the Glenmore River, which would occupy a 3m-wide strip along the east bank of the river, c.osely following a fence around an area of regenerated forest. Twenty-five archaeological sites, comprising fifty-two individual monuments, were recorded. <1>
