Description

A desk based assessment and walkover survey was conducted by S Farrell in 2005 in advance of a proposed housing development at Pennylands, Thurso. Eleven sites of archaeological and historical interest were found in the development area, with the principal sites relating to the former distillery and farm of Wolfburn. Several sites of potential prehistoric interest would require further investigative work to determine their function and origin. <1>
