Description

A DBA and walkover survey were carried out by members of the North of Scotland Archaeological Society (NOSAS) in 2013 to create a record of the archaeological features within the policies of Castle Leod, Strathpeffer, Ross-shire. A total of 34 known and unknown sites were recorded in total including: wells, footpaths, kennels, footpaths, pits, walls, a burial ground, a standing stone and much more. Three phases of development were noted dating to: the early C17th to the early C18th, the C18th and the C19th. <1>
