Description

Two walkover surveys were undertaken by Highland Archaeology Services in 2013-14 to inform plans for construction of a hydro-electric scheme at Corrimony, Glen Urquhart, Highland. Twelve archaeological features were identified and recorded in the initial survey, and a further eight in the second survey following amendments to the proposed route and infrastructure. It was considered that up to 14 of these might be affected by the proposed pipeline route. Mitigation was suggested for these – through micro-siting or where impacts are unavoidable, additional recording. A precautionary watching brief on site works was proposed where appropriate. <1>
