Description

A watching brief was carried out by Highland Archaeology Services in 2014 during work on a 1.5km long gas pipeline diversion east of Tornagrain, Inverness, Highland. Working areas were stripped over the existing pipeline at each end, and in a broad corridor along the new line. The results were divided into three areas. Fourteen features were identified, most of which were identified as natural, with one being interpreted as a possible kiln. No further archaeological fieldwork was recommended, but it was suggested that analysis of soil samples might be worthwhile. <1>
