Description

A desk-based assessment and walkover survey were carried out by CFA Archaeology Ltd in May 2002 in advance of the proposed housing development at Slackbuie, Inverness, to inform a development masterplan. There were no SAMs within the proposed development area, although there are two withn the surrounding area. The designed landscape associated with the A-Listed building of Leys Castle extended into the proposed development area. The possible remains of a clearance cairn were identified during the walkover survey, however it was situated within a field close to the southern boundary of the proposed development area. <1>
