Description

A DBA and walkover survey was carried out by GUARD in 2009 in advance of a proposed wind farm development at Glenmorie, 10km south west of Bonar Bridge. No prehistoric or medieval sites were identified within the development area during the survey, however, 10 sites of post medieval or modern date were recorded. A total of 27 sites of cultural heritage interst were identified along the route of the proposed access track. One of these sites lies immediately adjacent to the existing track whilst a further two were within 50m. A watching brief was recommended for any ground breaking work along the access track. <1> <2>
