Description

A small excavation was undertaken adjacent to one of the unditched cairns within the scheduled barrow cemetery at Dell Farm, Whitebridge. The work was commissioned by Historic Scotland after it was reported that a wind thrown tree had disturbed part of the site. It transpired that the tree was situated immediately east of one of the cairns and the cairn itself had not been disturbed, therefore minimal excavation of the cairn was undertaken. <1>
