Description

Stuart Farrell was commissioned by Bracewell Stirling Architects on behalf of Batten Developments Ltd in March 2003 to undertake an archaeological watching brief at Castlehill, Muir of Ord (NH 52814/49751 - centred) as part of a planning condition for a development of 13 houses. Highland Council Archaeology Unit produced a specification for this work. Work revealed no archaeological features or deposits of interest. The area had been partly stripped already for the adjacent housing development. A number features revealed were of a modern date. No recommendations to further work have been proposed.
