Late Bronze Age V G Childe 1946.
A bronze anvil 3.75" long, was found about 1870, in a cairn near the Kyle of Oykel a little further up than the cairn at Maikle which yielded a Bronze Age razor.(NH69SW 26) The only known one to have been found in Scotland, the anvil was donated to NMAS by the Duke of Sutherland in 1891.
