Full Description

NH68NE 4 6941 8923.

A semi-circular green mound, tree-covered, at Craig Neoch, Fload Farm, near Larachan School on the road from Skibo to Spinningdale, is traditionally a burying ground of great antiquity.

This feature is situated at NH 6941 8923; it is an elongated mound measuring c.40.0m E-W x c.28.0m N-S with a maximum height of 2.2m; there is a scatter of stones at the base of its SW side. The mound is known locally as an old burying place and it is forbidden to cut down the trees which cover it. No evidence, however, of antiquity was seen on or around the mound.
Visited by OS (E G C) 7 June 1963.

This mound is as described above. It is natural, possibly a moraine. Visited by OS (J B) 22 September 1980.
