Full Description

Dalhorrisgle: the ruins of a farmhouse (Name Book compiled 1873).
Name Book (Sutherland).

An ill-defined, turf-covered building and enclosure walls averaging 0.3m high and partly constructed of slabs on edge. About 100m N there are a small number of shallow pits of uncertain purpose. The surrounding area is covered by run-rig.
Visited by OS (JB) 30 November 1978.

A farmstead, comprising three unroofed buildings and an enclosure, is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Sutherland 1878, sheet xviii). The farmstead is shown as two unroofed buildings and an enclosure on the current edition of the OS 1:10,560 map (1964).
