The site is now occupied by the modern house of Bunahoun. All that remains of earlier occupation are stretches of turf-covered walling, two probable rectangular footings and, at NC 8932 5205, a circular depression ringed by stone is probably the remains of a corn-drying kiln.
Visited by OS (JB) 10 June 1977.
A township, comprising five unroofed buildings and two roofed buildings, is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Sutherland 1878, sheet xxix). Two unroofed structures and three roofed buildings are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10,560 map (1963).
Infromation from RCAHMS (FO) 22 August 1995.
