(A:NC 7488 0249) Hut Circle (NAT)
OS 1:10,000 map, (1971)

Centred on NC 749 024, along a hillside shelf, is a settlement of three hut circles (A-C) accompanied by a field system. Huts B and C are newly located.
'A', turf-covered, measures 9.0m diameter within a wall spread from 2.0 to 2.5m and up to 0.6m high. The entrance is no longer evident but was probably in the S.
'B', heather covered, measures about 11.0m diameter inside a wall spread to 2.0m and 0.3m high. The entrance is in the S but there is some indication of a break in the wall in the E.
'C' measures some 9.0m diameter internally. The wall is reduced to an ill-defined spread. There is a possible entrance in the W side.
The field system is evident in numerous clearance heaps, spaced from 10.0 to 25.0m apart, and occasional rickles of cleared stone; no measurable plots are discernible. South and west of hut A there is some intrusion of 18/19th century strip cultivation.
Revised at 1:10,000.
Huts B and C surveyed at 1:10 000.
Visited by OS (J M) 13 March 1981.

Three hut-circles (ROG95 130-2) are situated amongst a scatter of small cairns (ROG95 133) on several terraces to the NE of the Allt Bad a' Chrasgaidh. Two of the hut-circles are circular, measuring 8.4m (ROG95 130) and 11.8m (ROG95 131) in diameter within stone-and-earth banks spread to 1.9m in thickness and 0.4m in height. The third hut-circle (ROG95 132) measures 9.7m by 9.1m within a boulder-faced bank 1.7m in thickness and 0.8m in height, and has a markedly dished interior. The entrances lie respectively on the WSW (ROG95 130, 132) and S (ROG95 131), and the terminal of the wall on the E side of the entrance of the southernmost hut-circle (ROG95 130) is thickened.
The small cairns (ROG95 133) are scattered across the terraces around the hut-circles and measure up to 6m in diameter by 0.4m in height. There is a small area of rig, measuring between 4m and 5m between furrows, to the NW of the westernmost hut-circle (ROG95 132).
