Full Description

NC75NW 72 7429 5848.

At NC 7429 5848 is a hut circle discovered by Rudie (Elliot Rudie, 7 Mackenzie Cres., Bettyhill) situated in a near level area of peat cutting on a gentle west facing slope. It is evident as a heather covered platform 11.5m in overall diameter and up to 0.9m high. Occasional slight rises in the heather around the periphery are the only traces of the wall. The entrance is in the south east. Low walling and about a dozen clearance heaps in close proximity to the hut indicate contemporary cultivation.
Surveyed at 1:10,000.
Visited by OS (J B) 13 September 1977.
