Full Description

NC81SW 27 8021 1301.
Circular enclosure shown but not annotated. OS 6" map, (1969)

On a SW-facing slope in open moorland is a circular stone-walled hut of 10m internal diameter within a wall spread to 2.5m broadening to 4m at the SE entrance. Part of the inner wall face of slabs on edge is traceable in the SW arc. Stones lying in the centre of the hut are possibly from the small quarry nearby.
There is no evidence of contemporary cultivation in the vicinity; it has possibly been obliterated by early modern cultivation.
Revised at 1/10,000. Visited by OS (J B) 30 December 1975.
