Hut Circles (NR) OS 6"map, (1962)

Two hut circles (A and B) discovered during field investigation on a west-facing slope.
Visited by OS (E G C) 24 May 1961

Of the two huts, 'A' is 7.5m in diameter within a wall of 2.0m average spread, and 'B' has an internal diameter of 8.5m within a wall of 2.5m average spread. Along most of the circumference of hut 'B', the centre of the wall is distinctly depressed, demonstrating the double-wall construction, with an infill primarily of vegetation. There are no clear traces of contemporary cultivation in the immediate vicinity. Revised at 1/10,000.
Visited by OS (J B) 17 January 1977

There are two circular turf-banked enclosures about 30m apart in gently-sloping heather ground some 100m to SE of the Allt Choinneis-gil. Both measure some 7m in diameter within low grassy banks spread to 3m in thickness and 0.3m in height with a central groove. That to the NW is slightly levelled into the slope. These are probably denuded turf stells.
