Enclosure (NR) OS 6"map, (1962)

The remains of an oval turf-banked enclosure discovered during field investigation on the lower west slopes of Kinbrace Hill.
Visited by OS (E G C) 27 May 1961

This is a hut circle, remaining as a platform set onto a W-facing slope. It measures 8.5m N-S by about 6.5m within a wall of indefinite width, the east arc having been truncated by an old road. The entrance was probably from the S. The hut is on the edge of a forestry area; it has been preserved from ploughing but is partially planted.
Visited by OS (J B) 1 Feburary 1977
