Chambered Cairn (NR) OS 6"map, (1964)

The heavily robbed remains of an Orkney-Cromarty type round cairn with a polygonal chamber, lying on flat moorland terrace. The edge of the cairn is still clearly defined giving a diameter of about 93ft. The entrance has been from south where a pair of portal stones, one fallen, can still be seen as can some of structural stones of chamber.

The remains of this chambered cairn are generally as described, standing 2m high. It has been used as a rubbish tip.
