Full Description

NC71SE 38 7709 1024 and 7711 1027.

('A' : NC 7709 1024 'B' : NC 7711 1027). Two oval, stone-walled hut circles were found during field investigation, on a low knoll. Each measures 10.5m NW-SE by 8.5m internally within a wall spread to 2.5m broad. The simple entrance to hut 'B' is in the SE; that to hut 'A' is probably in the same arc but obscured by later clearance. Early modern cultivation with an associated enclosure occur in the vicinity, but there is no trace of a field system contemporary with the huts.
Surveyed at 1:10,560.
Visited by OS (N K B) 17 December 1975.
