Full Description

NC73SW 14 7027 3329.

At NC 7027 3329 in an area of afforestation are the remains of a burnt mound mutilated by forestry ploughing and planting. It is oval in plan, 0.5m high and measures 9.0m E-W by 7.0m. The contents exposed in the furrows consist of black earth, friable stones, flakes of charcoal and a few very small lumps of ferrous stone. The mound is 80.0m from the northernmost hut of NC73SW 6.
Surveyed at 1:10 000. Visited by OS (J B) 5 April 1977.
