At the E end of Kilpheder are the foundations of a house, in which the stones are immense. Here it is said Alexander Sutherland and his descendents lived. Alexander Sutherland's son William repaired and extended it, with local stone. This is the same Alexander Sutherland as was killed by the Gordons.
