NC 700 614 To the N of the hut-circles, enclosures, and cairns on the gravel surface of the fluvio-glacial outwash plain at Invernaver (NC66SE 3), lies a scatter of flaked stone artefacts. It covers an area of at least 4800 sq m, extending under dune remnants to the N, E, and W. No stratified features are visible. Blades, blade cores, and one narrow blade microlith indicate that the material is of mesolithic date. Both flint and chalcedony are present. Much of the material is glossy and eroded, through exposure to sand and wind.
