OS 6-inch map, 1962.

A minor settlement known locally as MacLeod's Shieling. There is a footing 28m by 4m at NC 6659 5082 and near it a corn-drying kiln at NC 6660 5087; both are outside, and S of an associated bank enclosing rough ground and tenuous rig and furrow occupied by two small indistinct enclosures and one or two vague, bothy-like footings.
Visited by OS (JM) 15 July 1978.

A farmstead comprising one long building near an area of cultivation is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Sutherland 1878, sheet xxvi). A two compartment building with one end missing is shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10,560 map (1962).
