Full Description

NC46SW 14 Centred on 441 629

Within a bounding bank are two longhouses, 18m by 4m and 37m by 4m, and three subsidiary buildings, with accompanying field walls and enclosures. The larger of the longhouses has well-constructed stone paving on its S front. The upstanding state of some of the walls would suggest a 19th century date.
Visited by OS (JM) 17 April 1980.

A township comprising four unroofed buildings and an area of cultivated ground is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Sutherland 1878, sheet xv). Five unroofed buildings and an enclosure are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10,560 map (1961).
Information from RCAHMS (FO) 15 August 1995.
